The IMLCA awards program was developed to honor the achievements of coaches both on and off the field. Each award is presented during the annual IMLCA Convention.
IMLCA Lifetime Service Award
The IMLCA Lifetime Service Award honors those people in the coaching profession who have contributed to the overall growth and development of the sport of men’s lacrosse in the United States.
IMLCA Outstanding Assistant Coach Award
The IMLCA Outstanding Assistant Coach Award honors individuals who have were a tremendous asset to their institution’s lacrosse team and student-athletes.
IMLCA Creators Memorial Award
The IMLCA Creators Award is bestowed periodically to an IMLCA member for achievements in the core areas of advocacy, leadership, education, honor, spirit and service to the game of lacrosse.
Nike has served as the presenting sponsor of the IMLCA Creators Memorial Award since its inception.
IMLCA Extra Man Award
The IMLCA Extra Man Award, created in 2013, is to be presented annually to a university or college administrator who displays the highest level of support for the growth of lacrosse.
The name of the award symbolizes the situation in men’s lacrosse games when a team has a man-up advantage over its opponent. The IMLCA Extra Man Award will recognize administrators who have expressed efforts to grow the sport of lacrosse.
Scott D. Livie Memorial Junior College Coach-of-the-Year Award
The family and friends of Scott D. Livie have established a restricted fund within the IMLCA to annually present the Scott D. Livie Memorial Junior College Coach-of-the-Year award.
