IMLCA Hall of Fame



The Intercollegiate Men’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) announced on March 16 the establishment of the IMLCA Hall of Fame. The inaugural class will be honored in May 2016.

“We are thrilled to establish a Hall of Fame for IMLCA members,” said J.B. Clarke, head coach at Limestone College and the IMLCA president. “The Hall of Fame will provide our association the means to honor coaches for their outstanding achievements both on and off the field and as great ambassadors of our sport. The Hall of Fame was unanimously approved by both our Executive committee and our Board of Directors. I know our general membership is very excited with the work done by our Hall of Fame Committee.”

The criteria for nomination was generated by the IMLCA Hall of Fame Committee comprised of Tom Gill, USMMA, (chair); Fred Acee, Air Force; Guy Van Arsdale, Jacksonville; Mike Murphy, Colgate; Dan Sheehan, LeMoyne; and Tom Leanos, Drew. The nomination criteria is:

*   Outstanding career as a coach (head/assistant) that has brought exceptional distinction to the individual, the institution, and/or the IMLCA.

*   The nominee must have demonstrated a high professional standard of ethics, integrity, sportsmanship and honesty (head/assistant).

*   Service and leadership.

*   The nominee must have served as a coach (head/assistant) from a two or four year institution for a minimum of fifteen years. Other considerations will be at the discretion of the Hall of Fame Committee.
